Blogging with WordPress is one of the easiest ways to start on the web. There are so many people that have done all the work for you already and all you have to do is implement the steps.
The other problem is that a good proportion of the people who make money blogging do it by selling crappy advice to the other 999,999 failures. I am not going to do that. I am not selling a damn thing, although if you take my advice and sign up for the tools I use, I will make a couple of dollars in commissions. All I need is 999,999 people to take my advice and I will be set for life, in which case – anyone want to buy a few blogs?
The best thing about wordpress cms is that you can use the software as a website. Here is what I mean. You can create pages and make your who blog appear to be a website. Personally I think that weblogs are better than websites because they are constantly changing so they remain fresh.
Once all your information is entered, you’re ready to post! Now, when you add a new post you’ll see a Groupon button in the rich text editor menu. Click that button and a window will pop up that lists all the Groupon deals running at the moment.
Reading settings – if you would like your blog to look more like a website, you will want to set a static front page. This page will always appear when the blog is viewed. You may still want blog posts on your site. To do this you will create a page and name it “Blog Posts”, “News”, etc. Do not put any text on this page. In the Reading settings set your default front page and then set the default Post page to the page you just created. The new page will be in your page listings either on your side bar or on your navigation menu at the top depending on your Theme. When you visitor clicks on the “Blog Post” page they will see your blog posts in chronological order.
To get started, you first need to select suitable weblog software. This is necessary in order to create and manage your blog. There’s quite an assortment of blogging software out there. Some offer ease of design and development while other programs offer more elaborate features, for example, allowing you to add discussion forums, message boards etc. Some weblogs can be downloaded and installed directly on your system. Freeware and open source software are available, though these programs are not as feature-rich as some of the paid proprietary software.
The best thing in my opinion about WordPress is that you can schedule posts to be posted automatically. So let’s say I write three posts in one day but I don’t want them to publish all in one day, I can schedule them to post throughout the week and they will. This is how you work smarter and not harder.
